Escape the Clock Tower
The top floor of an abandoned clock tower. The door is rusted shut. Engraved numerals, a stopped great clock, a severed circuit — unravel the tower's mechanisms and escape.
Tap the mechanisms on the walls
Escape the Clock Tower
Solve a rotary dial lock, set the great clock's hands, and rewire the door — a room-escape with three fresh mechanics, randomized each play.
📖 How to Play
- Tap the wall mechanisms to investigate (plaque, rotary-dial cabinet, great clock, gears, door)
- Enter the plaque's three Roman numerals on the rotary dial lock (▲▼ to set each wheel) to open the cabinet
- Set the great clock's hands (adjust hour/minute with +/−) to the timetable's time
- When the time is right a wiring panel opens, revealing a color-to-socket map
- On the door's wiring board, tap a color then tap a socket to connect them per the map
- Once powered, open the door and escape

About this game
Escape the Clock Tower is an escape puzzle set in an abandoned tower. Despite its ★1 rating, it asks you to solve three mechanically different locks rather than repeating a keypad, so it's a good showcase of what escape games can do.
Those three are a rotary combination dial, setting the great clock's hands, and rewiring the door. Roman numerals engraved on a stone plaque give you the combination for the rotary dial (adjust each wheel with ▲▼) to open a cabinet, and inside you find a timetable whose time you set on the great clock.
Once the clock reads correctly, a wiring panel in the wall opens, revealing a colour-to-socket map. Wire the door's board to match the map and power flows, opening the door. Because the three locks chain in sequence, it's always clear which puzzle you're currently on.
Tips & strategy
- Examine every mechanism on the walls — the plaque, cabinet, great clock, gears and door are the important ones
- Convert the Roman numerals to digits before entering them on the dial (for example Ⅶ → 7)
- The clock's hour and minute hands are adjusted separately with +/−, and must match the timetable exactly
- Wire strictly according to the colour-to-socket map, handling one cable at a time
- There are stray numbers around the tower, such as graffiti, that aren't part of any solution — be sceptical of numbers with no clear source
FAQ
Q. What kinds of puzzles are there?
A. Three: a rotary combination dial, setting the great clock's hands, and wiring the door — deliberately not just keypad entry.
Q. How hard is it?
A. ★1. There are three mechanisms, but they chain in a clear sequence so it's hard to get lost.
Q. Is the solution always the same?
A. No — the dial combination and the target time are randomised on every play.
Q. Are hints available?
A. Yes, a 💡 hint button. Using it lowers your score, but it's there when you're stuck.
