About this game
Match 3 is the colourful puzzle where you swap adjacent gems to line up three or more of a colour and clear them. The board is a 7×8 grid of six gem colours, and each run is bounded by a 25-move limit.
Cascades are the heart of the genre. When gems clear, new ones fall from above — and if those happen to form another match, a chain fires and your score multiplier jumps. Learning to set up cascades on purpose is where the scoring really opens up.
Clearing four gems scores 80, and five or more pays an even bigger bonus. Because you only get 25 moves, every swap is a real decision about which clear leads to the largest chain. The tap controls are tuned for mobile.
Tips & strategy
- Clear near the bottom of the board when you can — more gems fall from above, which makes cascades far more likely
- Four- and five-gem clears pay much more than a plain three. If a shape is one gem away from four, let it grow instead of cashing it in
- Look for swaps that complete two matches at once; those are the usual starting point for a big chain
- You only have 25 moves, so favour swaps that set up cascades over swaps that merely score
- When you're stuck, scan the whole grid — edges and corners are the easiest spots to overlook
- Swapping next to an existing colour cluster is the usual route to a large clear
- As your remaining moves run low, switch from safe clears to the biggest clear available
