About this game
Falling Blocks is the classic stacking puzzle: seven piece shapes drop from the top, and you rotate and slide them to pack the rows tightly. Fill a horizontal line completely and it clears. The rules are instantly readable, but how you stack decides your score.
Clearing four rows at once pays far more than clearing them one at a time, which makes the 'well' tactic worthwhile — deliberately leave a single column open and wait for the long piece. The risk is obvious: if the long piece is slow to arrive, your stack climbs dangerously.
Every ten cleared lines raises the level and speeds up the drop. The late game turns into a genuine reflex test, which is exactly the appeal of the genre. On mobile you swipe to move and tap to rotate.
Tips & strategy
- Keep the surface as flat as you can — a jagged stack shrinks the number of legal placements very quickly
- If you're digging a well for four-line clears, always dig it on an edge column. A hole in the middle is nearly impossible to recover from
- Hard drop (Space / swipe down) is fast but final. Until the speed ramps up, use normal drops so you can still adjust
- Once your stack passes five or six rows, stop holding out for the big clear and take single lines to bring the height down
- T, S and Z pieces are awkward on flat ground — leaving a deliberate one-block step gives them somewhere to sit

Q. Is this the same as Tetris?
A. It's our own implementation of the falling-block puzzle genre. The core idea — stack seven piece shapes and clear full rows — is shared, but this is an original build and it's free to play.
